CREATIVE DIRECTOR/
PRINCIPAL DESIGNER
Originally from Australia, Clare came to Canada to travel, ski, and explore and 20 years later, she’s completely fallen for the country, especially the stunning Sea-to-Sky region. She now calls the mountain town of Pemberton home, living with her husband Tim, two children, Mason and Chloe, and their golden retriever Billie. Raising a family in this remarkable part of the world has become a central part of her story.
Clare has been in the interior design industry since 2012, studying at the Vancouver Interior Design Institute. Her prior 7 years as a fashion merchandiser gave her a natural talent for styling, which led her to co-create a successful home staging business in the Sea-to-Sky region in 2017. While staging was a key part of her early career, she soon gravitated toward full-scale design working with clients from concept to completion, turning spaces into unique, personalized homes through thoughtful use of patterns, textures, and finishes.
Her goal is simple: to create warm, inviting interiors where everyone feels at home, while guiding clients through a seamless and enjoyable design process.

Senior Designer/Project Manager
Jennie Kyle
Jennie and her husband Michael are thrilled to be raising their two boys in the beautiful village of Pemberton, where they are active in the community and passionate about youth sports and coaching.
After graduating with honours in Social Sciences from the University of Ottawa in 2002, Jennie moved to Whistler, BC. Her curiosity for design began in the web industry, earning a diploma in Web Publishing and Design from Langara College in 2006 and a Digital Marketing diploma in 2021.
A lifelong passion for interior design naturally led Jennie to join Clare Riley Design in 2021, where she helps clients bring their visions to life, combining creativity with thoughtful collaboration.
Office Manager & Designer
Alexandra Tiller
Originally from the U.K., Alex has established a reputation for her innovative and creative design talents. Holding a BA (Hons) in Arts and Event Management, she has effectively managed, designed and organized large-scale events globally. Never missing a detail.
After moving to Whistler over seven years ago, she flourished as an Event & Planner & Designer while also exploring Interior Design & Styling. Her love for interior design and styling has grown significantly over the years. Especially after working and living in the Sea to Sky Corridor, where she fell in love with not only the outdoors and lifestyle, but the abundance of inspiration wherever you turn. With extensive experience in management, design, and high end styling, she combines her skills to enhance every project with productivity and creativity. Keeping the studio and CRD team in tip top shape!
Designer & Office Administrator
Bec Claffey
Our second Australian-born member of the CRD team! Bec, ventured from the shores of Oz to embrace snowboarding and mountain life in Canada. She swiftly fell in love with everything Whistler and the surrounding region had to offer.
Eventually, she made Canada her home, became a Canadian citizen, and began her family with her partner Jeff here in Pemberton. Bec is a proud mother of her two children, Zoey and Ollie. Keeping her very busy as you can imagine! She is the best at keeping our projects in order and makes sure we have everything on track!
Her lifelong passion for design & styling led her to receive a diploma in interior design, launching her career path and leading her to join us at Clare Riley Design.
